I was Sick of Guesswork, So I Turned to Science
Hi, My name is Ellie, I am a mum and like many of you, my entry into motherhood was a little bumpy to say the least! Self doubt, anxiety and crippling sleep deprivation seemed the new norm and my old pre child existence seemed like it was a far cry from the life I was now thrust into! I truly wanted to enjoy my experience and my baby but it was hard when everything felt like an exhausting blur! I knew I needed more sleep… but how to get it was the question? One book says this, one blog says that, one healthcare worker says this, one well intending family member says that. Figuring things out felt like a literal MINEFIELD. How could it be this complicated? And why does no one teach us this!? We are sent home from the hospital. Our wonderful new bundle of joy it tow but with no real information on how to care for them and certainly no classes on baby sleep.
I took to the internet for answers, like actual scientific answers but it was confusing at best! sifting through the never ending mummy blogs and opinion pieces to get through to the cold hard facts was exhausting. Throughout a TONNE of trial and error I eventually found my way. My son was sleeping, I was sleeping, the difference it made to my feelings towards motherhood were DAY and NIGHT! I felt like I had found myself again and was truly obsessed with being a mum, I just knew I had to help other struggling families find an easier way! I immediately set out to study the fundamentals of baby sleep science and became a nationally recognised Baby and Toddler Sleep Consultant. What a privilege it is to work with families all around the world to help the WHOLE family achieve a better nights sleep! I am so blessed to provide the type of platform I was so desperate for as new mum. My professional background is in corporate and high level disability support. In early 2026 I set out to further extend my services to be able to support Special Needs children with sleep and completed my certified special needs sleep course with the Institute of Paediatric Sleep. I now get to confidently support children living with ASD, ADHD, OCD, ODD.
I consider myself an extremely warm, empathetic and energetic person with a strong desire to make meaningful change and support to anyone in need.
